Overview
The Beverage Supervisor assists the Beverage Manager with overseeing set-up and teardown, staffing, product and supplies as it relates to beverages for catered events. With direction from Beverage Manager and/or AGM, oversees serving of alcoholic beverages during catered events.
This role pays an hourly rate of $20.00-$24.00.

Responsibilities
- Supervises beverage staff during catered events at the direction of Beverage Manager or AGM.
- This includes overseeing transactions of employees and the execution of TEAM training guidelines.
- Responsible for overseeing the service of beverages to guests including alcoholic beverages.
- Responsible for ensuring staff members check guest’s ID’s to verify minimum age requirement and are serving beverages responsibly in accordance with local/state/federal regulations.
- Maintains and supports a positive employee relations climate for the team.
- Provides a professional presence for guests / clients during events and responds appropriately to requests.
- Ensures compliance with health, sanitation, safety and employment regulations by clearly communicating standards and procedures to all staff
- Stocking product and preparing equipment as required for catered events.
- Read and execute event requirements from Banquet Event Order (BEO).
- Maintain a clean and organized beverage storage unit(s)
- Monitors and assists with set-up and teardown of beverage stations and runs product as required.
- Verifies accuracy of opening & closing bar sheet counts.
- Supports beverage team by serving as required during busy periods.
- Coach, counsel or discipline employees as directed in the absence of the Beverage Manager.
- Assist Beverage Manager as required with product orders and inventory management.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Some college coursework in event management, business, culinary or similar field preferred.
- Two or more years’ experience in beverage service, food service environment or similar industry preferred.
- Previous experience in a supervisory, training or lead position preferred.
- Bartending experience preferred.
- Intermediate computer skills in a Windows format with experience in MS Word, Excel & Outlook preferred.
- Detail oriented, ability to multi-task and effectively prioritize in a fast-paced, changing environment.
- Ability to lead a team in a positive professional and high-pressure environment while creating a cooperative atmosphere.
- Ability to be self-directed and work independently with little oversight.
- Demonstrated ability to provide a professional presentation and communications with guests and team in an event-driven environment.
- Ability to make decisions regarding “cut offs” of guests, execute guest cut-off’s, and demonstrate sound judgment independently.
- Ability to work a flexible event based schedule as required including nights, weekends and long hours.
