The Indianapolis Colts are seeking a highly skilled, collaborative, and visionary Director of Production to lead our video production team within the Creative, Content & Media department. This role is pivotal in shaping the visual storytelling of the Colts brand across multiple platforms — from social media to in-stadium experiences.

 

The Director of Production will manage a dynamic team of producers ensuring all content is on-brand, innovative, and aligned with organizational goals. This position requires a creative leader who thrives in a fast-paced, high-energy environment, and who can balance day-to-day execution with big-picture strategy. RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead and oversee all facets of video production, including concept development, pre-production, shooting, editing, and final delivery.
  • Manage and mentor a team of producers fostering a culture of consistency, creativity, collaboration, and professional growth.
  • Collaborate closely with teams across the Creative, Content & Media department, including Social Media, Audio, Game Presentation, Graphic Design, and Photography.
  • Work directly with the Senior Creative Director to establish and maintain a cohesive visual storytelling strategy for all video projects.
  • Oversee the creation of a wide range of content, including but not limited to: social media videos, digital series, behind-the-scenes features, commercials, hype videos, in-stadium entertainment, sponsor integrations, and documentaries.
  • Develop and maintain production schedules and resource allocation plans to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ensure all content meets brand standards, copyright regulations, and is optimized for platform-specific best practices.
  • Manage external production vendors and freelancers as needed.
  • Stay on top of industry trends, emerging technologies, and creative best practices to continually innovate the Colts’ video production efforts.
  • Support game day production needs, including real-time content capture, editing, and live event support.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • College Degree or relevant work experience
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in video production, with at least 3 years managing a creative production team. 
  • Strong portfolio/reel showcasing a range of storytelling formats and production styles.
  • Expertise in production equipment, lighting, sound recording, and post-production workflows.
  • Advanced non-linear video editing, coloring and cinematography skillset and the ability to teach and coach those skills in a constructive fashion.
  • Proficiency with editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, and the broader Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Experience producing content for a variety of platforms (social, digital, broadcast, in-stadium) with a deep understanding of each platform’s unique needs.
  • Outstanding organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Deep passion for football and understanding of the NFL audience is a strong plus.
  • Ability to work non-traditional hours, including weekends, evenings, and game days, as needed.

WORKING RELATIONSHIPS

  • Reports directly to the Senior Creative Director of Colts Content.
  • Collaborates daily with peers across Social Media, Audio, Game Presentation, Graphic Design, and Photography.
  • Interfaces with Marketing, Sponsorship, Community Relations, and Football Operations departments as needed.
