Pro Volleyball Federation (www.ProVolleyball.com) is REAL pro volleyball and the premier women’s professional volleyball league in North America. Pro Volleyball Federation will begin its second season of play in January 2026 with world class players and coaches, including some of America’s greatest volleyball players and great players from around the world. Pro Volleyball Federation made history in 2024 by becoming the first professional volleyball league in the United States to provide opportunities for players to stay home and play professionally while making a real living wage.
Indy is one of eight Pro Volleyball Federation markets throughout the United States. We are seeking a Director of Volleyball Operations interested in applying their skills within an exciting new environment where the selected individual can help build what will become the preeminent women's professional sports league in North America.
Position Overview
The Indy Ignite are looking for a detail oriented, go-getter to fill a role as Director of Volleyball Operations.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Coordinate all player communication needed from Coaches and Team Front Office.
- Coordinate player sizes, gear, adjustments, and distribution of gear with REN and Team Front Office.
- Coordinate all player training camp needs.
- Communicate with travel agency for travel trips
- Coordinate all team travel (flight, housing, ground transportation, food, tickets, etc.) to include but not limited to players, coaches, owner and staff.
- Communicate with hosting DOVO prior to departure for hotel, bus, practice, and match information.
- Communicate itinerary and per diem amount to travel party.
- Coordinate all meals with respective restaurants.
- Coordinate all player and coach ticket needs with the Ignite ticket staff.
- Coordinate home match needs with Director of Game Operations.
- Coordinate with visiting DOVO on all their needs (hotel, busing, practice facility, tickets, etc.)
- Coordinate player media appearance schedule with Director of PR, Branding, and Social Media
- Transport athletes to/from public appearances as needed and making sure they have all relevant information.
- Work with President and Athletic Training to coordinate all physicals and timelines of physicals to players for training camp and as players are removed and added to the roster.
- Coordinate/work with Business Manager on per diem request and reimbursements needed for players and coaching staff.
- Coordinate with gathering all receipts (gas, water, Wi-Fi, travel expenses, etc.) send them to the Business Manager.
- Coordinate all needs for player exit interviews (physicals, travel, etc.).
- Coordinate move in/move out dates, furniture delivery, and utilities start date with respective company.
- Coordinate all onboarding needs as players are added to the roster (physicals, travel, housing, gear, etc.).
- Coordinate facility and meeting room setup for all practices home and away.
- Coordinate player family needs for home matches.
- Other duties assigned by Coaches and Team Front Office Staff.
Background, Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Management or other similar degree.
- Ability to drive yourself around the Indianapolis Metro Area.
- A self-starter with attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to work in fast paced multidisciplinary team environment.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks/projects.
- Strong team synergy skills and ability to work collaboratively with others whom you have no direct authority over.
- Exhibit good judgement and decision-making skills.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, and holidays, to accommodate matches.
- Prior volleyball experience is a plus, but a passion for women’s sports is a must.
Time Commitment
- This is a Full-Time job with exact employment dates determined upon hiring. The season is January – May with training camp starting in December.
