Position: Event Coordinator
Reports to: Director of Marketing
Job Summary
This position will handle all game day related elements needed for successfully facilitating a Tahoe Knight Monsters Hockey Game and non-game day events. This position will be responsible for day-to-day operational needs as it pertains to game day needs, 5050, DASH, Chuck a Puck, Internship Program and executing non-game day events.
Duties of Position:
- This position will be the liaison between the Tahoe Knight Monster Hockey Staff & Arena. This will include creating game day service notes, parking lists, staffing roles, and overseeing the set-up & breakdown of the arena.
- Work with departments within the Tahoe organization to ensure that operational requirements are met.
- Oversee Internship program, by hiring, training and scheduling for the program.
- Implementing and following the process for 50/50. Which includes training staff in the process, pulling the winners and processing payments.
- Implementing and following the process for Chuck – A – Puck, by training staff keep track chuck-a-puck sales, ensuring that the chuck-a-pucks are bagged prior to the game, and facilitating chuck-a-puck activation on the ice.
- Implementing and following the process for DASH. Which includes training staff in the process, determining DASH Items for the season, day to day communication, contacting winners, fulfilling orders, etc.
- Oversee & plan non-Tahoe Game Events. For example, Watch Parties, Season Ticket Holder Events, Networking Events, etc.
- Schedule Mascot for Game Day & non-game day appearances
- Oversee Tahoe Kids Corner, buy planning 1 Kids Club Activation per month at a Home Game & 2 Off-Site Events throughout the year.
- Will be required to drive a box truck as needed to pick up & deliver supplies
- Identify cost-savings opportunities and implement cost-control measures.
- Communicate with senior management to provide updates on operational performance and issues.
- Additional Duties Assigned
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree from a four-year accredited college or university preferred.
- Minimum one (1) year full-time experience in sports, entertainment, event management, or related field preferred.
- Proficiency in use of Microsoft Office software applications.
