Who are we looking for
 
This role is focused on the operational delivery of our matchday services for College Football Leagues. It is a unique blend of sport performance, technology, and operations in a fast-paced and thrilling environment. Successful candidates will be responsible for system installation and live broadcast data delivery, providing a front row seat to professional sport.
 
The ideal candidate is a sports fan that appreciates the value that technology brings to the sporting arena. You will be interested in how data can be used, especially with respect to analysis and data. You will be able to work confidently and independently in potentially ‘high pressure’ situations, where time and accuracy are important. Having pride in your work is important. While you will have a high degree of autonomy, you will be comfortable promptly engaging and clearly communicating with a range of demanding stakeholders, including broadcast, teams, event crew as well as the extended Sportable team. Availability when matches occur is critical, which includes many evenings and weekends.

Required Skills / Experience:
  • In-depth understanding of football rules and tactics.
  • Proven ability to work and solve problems in high pressure environments.
  • Experience in a leadership position.
  • Competent using MS suite and excel for data analysis
  • Access to / use of a vehicle and a full clean driving license.
  • Commitment to working regular weekends / evenings / holidays where applicable.

Personal Characteristics:
  • Excellent communication skills (written & verbal).
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
  • Confident individual with demonstrated leadership skills.
  • Demonstrate the ability to learn new skills quickly.
  • Dynamic and proactive.
 
Nice to have:
  • Student / graduate within sport science, sport technology, engineering or technical equivalent.
  • Hands-on experience with technology or sports technology (GPS, video analysis, tactical applications, etc.).
  • Directly managing a team / project.
  • Experience in an elite sporting environment.
  • Experience in a live sports broadcasting environment.
  • Hands-on experience with similar sports technology (GPS, optical tracking, video analysis, etc.).
  • Knowledge of IT infrastructure and networking.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Become ‘super users’ of Sportable’s Match Tracker technology.
  • Lead the match week preparation and execution of Sportable matchdays to the highest possible standard.
  • Manage relationships with stakeholders (broadcast crew, stadium operations team, team staff).
  • Manage casual matchday staff.
  • Maintain all Match Tracker hardware and oversee regional logistics.
  • Assist with general Client Delivery operations when required (quality assurance, field testing).
  • Work closely with internal Sportable teams on product / service development.
  • Ensure that the company’s health, safety & data protection policies are adhered to and always practiced.
  • Commitment to work regular weekends / evenings / holidays where applicable.
  • Commitment to travel to various stadiums in the USA when required.

  • Field Operations Coordinators
  • Client Delivery Manager - North America

Compensation:
  • $50,000 - $60,000/Year (pro rata)

Working Closely with:
  • Matchday contractors
  • Global Client Delivery Team
