Lead the vision for one of the most exciting new lifestyle brands in global soccer. As Head of Merchandise & Consumer Products, you’ll define and execute the end-to-end consumer products strategy for one of the best-selling brands in American soccer. We've built a great foundation, and now we need you to help us take it to the next level!
You will showcase the club's brand and generate revenue across multiple sales channels, including online, at retail locations, and at Fitzpatrick Stadium on match days.
From product creation to sales execution, you will elevate the Hearts of Pine brand into a beloved symbol of local pride and global relevance—building an iconic merchandise ecosystem that resonates far beyond matchday.

Expected Salary Range: $80,000-$90,000, plus bonus potential

Key Responsibilities
- Set the strategic vision for the club’s consumer products program, aligning merchandise efforts with brand values, revenue goals, and long-term growth plans.
- Oversee a flagship product line that balances revenue-driving staples with bold brand-building capsules, collaborations, and limited-edition drops.
- Drive growth across all sales channels, including e-commerce, stadium retail, pop-ups, and third-party retail partnerships.
- Oversee all stages of product development—from creative concepting and vendor sourcing to pricing, procurement, production, and delivery.
- Lead inventory planning and demand forecasting to ensure optimal stock levels across channels while minimizing waste.
- Use data and trend insights to drive innovation, respond to fan behavior, and continuously evolve offerings.
- Build and lead a high-performing team across creative, operational, and frontline roles; provide mentorship and pathways for professional growth.
- Develop and manage budgets for all consumer product functions, ensuring efficient, profitable operations.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with senior leadership, marketing, creative, and fan experience teams to ensure products embody the club’s ethos at every touchpoint.
- Champion the Hearts brand on and off the pitch—across product, retail environments, and consumer moments.
What You Bring
- 7+ years of experience in consumer products, merchandising, and/or retail leadership—ideally within sports, lifestyle, or mission-driven brands.
- 3+ years of people management experience with both in-office and retail-based teams.
- Expertise in product development, merchandising strategy, inventory management, and e-commerce (e.g. Shopify).
- A strong design sensibility and deep understanding of how product reflects and amplifies brand identity.
- Experience building and scaling a product line in fast-paced or startup environments.
- Proven ability to lead multiple complex projects, meet deadlines, and deliver strong business outcomes.
- Excellent communication, vendor management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- A love for soccer and a genuine connection to the culture and values of Maine are strongly preferred.
- Must be able to work at all Hearts of Pine home matchdays (18-20 days per year, often nights and weekends)
