Description
Columbus Crew is seeking a Manager, Match Presentation to build matchday marketing programs while executing a first-class match experience. This position reports to the Sr. Director, Events & Grassroots Marketing.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Collaborate on the season-long theme night calendar creation that includes giveaways, entertainment moments, and Corporate Partnership title nights
- Collaborate with Corporate Partnerships & Ticket Sales Department to drive revenue and create programs that drive revenue
- Lead the preseason planning and development of on-field staging elements
- Collaborate on rehearsal and matchday scripts with Scoreboard Operations
- Update the matchday run of show for inter-departmental use
- Ideate and schedule all elements of matchday presentation including on-field elements, videoboard promotions and stadium activations for tournaments
- Deliver tickets and communicate logistics (i.e. tickets, parking, timing, meals, etc.) to all presentation elements
- Submit and review all scoreboard requests to ensure all necessary information is included
- Serve as Field Director on matchday, ensuring all on-field and presentation elements are delivered in a timely and professional fashion
- Serve as the matchday liaison between Team Ops and the Control Room
- Represent the Club as matchday presentation lead
- Assist with externally-led soccer events (i.e. US Soccer)
- Oversee the season-long Presentation Intern
- Matchday budget tracking
- Other duties as assigned
Required skills, experience & abilities
- Bachelor's degree in Sports Management, Business Administration, Marketing or related fields
- Minimum of 3 years' experience working with game presentation, experience in Major League Soccer is a plus
- Strong work ethic, positive attitude with keen eye and attention to detail
- Creative thinker and strategist with an ability to stay organized and manage multiple projects with various deadlines
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to lead a large group of staff and/or volunteers
- Able to work home matches and other select events
- Able to attend additional evenings, weekends and events
