JOB DESCRIPTION
 
Summary/Objective
The Manager of Research is responsible for supporting multiple research projects, leading in-person research efforts, managing tactical aspects of relationships with vendors and partners and serving as the lead for coordination with councils and committees. 

This person will have strong communication and project management skills to gather both internal and appropriate external stakeholder research needs and develop and collaborate with them on plans to meet those needs and requirements. They must be able to attend live events and solicit feedback in-the-moment from attendees and participants and be able to summarize results and feedback.

Lastly, this individual will have to be comfortable managing parallel timelines, projects and budgets in various stages of progress. This includes contributing to and occasionally leading projects on the front end through to the final analysis and presentations.

  • Manage multiple research projects in various stages of parallel development.
  • Lead in-person research efforts, including on-site research with customers, dedicated focus group opportunities, and council and committee work, and leading discussions and meetings as appropriate.
  • Communicate with customers, stakeholders, internal personnel and others to provide updates on projects and also present key findings from research.
  • Work with internal stakeholders to define their research needs and devise plans to meet those needs through research and insights work. 
  • Plan and execute research projects from inception through completion. 
  • Develop surveys and other research instruments that will be used for research projects. 
  • Analyze primary and secondary research findings along with data from USA Football or other sources and synthesize data and information into reporting that produces actionable information for USA Football stakeholders. 
  • Attend live events for the organization and solicit feedback in-the-moment from event attendees and participants. 
  • Manage budgets, timelines, and deliverables for multiple projects simultaneously. 
  • Act as a primary liaison for research efforts with external stakeholders, including partners, on USA Football-led research and research collaboration opportunities.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in research, analytics or appropriate related field
  • Minimum 5 years in a market research role with a proven track record of managing research projects, including designing studies and interpreting findings
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience delivering presentations on research findings to internal stakeholders, such as team leads and executive team members
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience compiling and analyzing data 
  • Experience in sports, non-profit and/or membership driven organization a plus, but not required
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience using research tools and software, examples of which include Power BI, SPSS, Tableau, Qualtrics, QuestionPro, etc. 
  • Proven successful experience managing data collection and facilitating group research from the field, including focus groups, councils and/or impromptu data collection
  • Experience managing external research vendor relationships a plus, but not required
 
 
As required by the Equal Pay Transparency Act, USA Football provides a reasonable range of minimum compensation for roles. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, education, etc. The pay range for this position is as follows: $61,021- $97,475.
 
This position is eligible to participate in an annual incentive program. Must meet requirements.

Supervisory Responsibility
This role does not have any personnel management responsibilities, but will work with contractors, professional services and may manage interns.
 
Work Environment
This job primarily operates in a remote office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers and phones. This role must be comfortable working at in-person events where communication with others will be important.
 
Physical Demands
Requires the ability to sit for more than four hours per day, reading, listening, stooping, bending and manual dexterity.

This is a Full-Time remote position.
