Miami AC is a premier soccer organization based in South Florida, competing at multiple levels of the U.S. soccer pyramid, including USL League Two, W League, and UPSL. Our mission is to develop top-tier talent through a holistic, pathway-driven approach from youth to pro. We are currently seeking a driven and experienced leader to serve as the EA League Director and Head Coach of our UPSL Reserve Team—a critical link between our elite youth academy and our first team.
Position Summary
The EA League Director & UPSL Head Coach will oversee all aspects of our U13–U19 Boys Elite Academy (EA) League teams and serve as the head coach for our UPSL squad, the official reserve team to our USL League Two team. This dual-role position is ideal for a motivated soccer professional who thrives in both administrative leadership and technical coaching environments.
Key Responsibilities
Elite Academy (EA) League Director Duties
- Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of Miami AC’s U13–U19 Boys EA League teams.
- Supervise and support team coaches to ensure adherence to the club’s playing philosophy and development pathway.
- Coordinate league registrations, player compliance, and communication with the EA League.
- Create and oversee the implementation of a development curriculum aligned with club and national standards.
- Manage seasonal planning, game scheduling, travel logistics, and training calendars.
- Communicate regularly with families regarding team updates, player evaluations, and events.
- Oversee player scouting, recruitment, and tryout coordination.
- Collaborate with club leadership on player promotions, ID sessions, and showcase events.
UPSL Head Coach Duties
- Lead all coaching responsibilities for the UPSL team, including training, game-day management, and player development.
- Design and implement a tactical and technical training program that prepares players for elevation to the USL League Two team.
- Maintain close collaboration with USL League Two staff on roster integration, performance monitoring, and player progression.
- Organize preseason, in-season, and postseason planning, including strength and conditioning coordination.
- Manage team travel, training, and match logistics.
- Evaluate and scout talent within the club and community for UPSL-level inclusion.
Minimum Qualifications
- USSF “B” License or equivalent (minimum); “A” License or equivalent preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in youth or adult competitive soccer coaching and/or technical leadership.
- Demonstrated success in developing players within a structured competitive pathway.
- Strong organizational, administrative, and communication skills.
- Proven ability to lead staff and work collaboratively across departments.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and travel as required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience coaching in the EA League, UPSL, USL, or other high-level youth/pro pathways.
- Experience with college recruitment and player placement support.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
- Familiarity with sports performance software and player management platforms (e.g., Veo, Hudl, SportsRecruits, GotSport).
