🌟 What You’ll Do
You'll support every stage of the employee experience while ensuring compliance, culture, and care go hand in hand. Here’s how:
- Lead core HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, offboarding, leave administration, compliance, benefits, and 401K administration.
- Serve as a go-to resource for employee questions and support, creating a welcoming, solutions-focused environment.
- Improve and manage HR systems, records, and digital processes for efficiency and accuracy.
- Conduct employee training sessions on topics like performance, goal setting, and employment law.
- Monitor and ensure contract compliance by tracking and reporting on terms.
- Own monthly HRIS data reporting and key performance indicators.
- Champion engagement by organizing HR-related events and recognition efforts.
- Provide guidance on basic employee relations issues and escalate when needed.
- Coordinate new hire orientation and support a smooth employee lifecycle.
- Assist with general office management tasks such as ordering supplies and mail distribution.
- Continuously improve processes that enhance how we work and connect as a team.
🔍 What We’re Looking For
- 3+ years of experience in an HR or People Operations role (sports or high-growth environments a plus).
- Knowledge of employment law and HR compliance (California experience preferred).
- Experience managing processes like recruitment, onboarding, benefits, and HRIS.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and active listening skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and digital HR tools.
- Ability to work flexible hours as needed, especially during home games or events.
- A commitment to confidentiality, equity, and creating a positive workplace for all.
⚙️ Physical/Work Environment Notes
- Mix of walking, standing, sitting, and light lifting (up to 15 lbs) across office, stadium, and training spaces.
- Regular computer work, visual review of documents, and in-person/virtual interactions.
- Occasional after-hours responsibilities tied to game days or community events.
