Role Overview
SportsBiz is looking for a Product Manager to join our dynamic team and lead the development and scaling of our next-generation data analytics products. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, and marketing, to deliver solutions that address the unique challenges of the sports industry. This is a key leadership role, with the opportunity to influence product strategy, drive innovation, and work on products that transform how the sports world leverages data.
Responsibilities
- Product Strategy: Define and own the vision, roadmap, and strategy for one or more data analytics products, aligning with SportsBiz’s overall goals.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with engineering, data science, design, and business development teams to conceptualize, build, and launch impactful products.
- Customer-Centric Approach: Conduct market research, engage with customers, and analyze usage data to identify pain points and opportunities for innovation.
- Feature Development: Prioritize features based on business impact, technical feasibility, and customer feedback, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality solutions.
- Data-Driven Decision-Making: Leverage metrics and analytics to evaluate product performance and drive continuous improvement.
- Industry Trends: Stay informed about trends in sports technology and data analytics to ensure our products remain competitive and forward-thinking.
Qualifications
- Experience: 3–5+ years of product management experience, preferably in data analytics, SaaS, or sports-related industries.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, data analytics, or a related field (MBA or advanced degree is a plus).
- Skills:
- Proven track record of delivering successful data-driven products.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience with Agile or Scrum methodologies.
- Familiarity with data analytics tools, platforms, and technologies.
- Bonus Points:
- Knowledge of or passion for the sports industry.
- Experience working with machine learning or AI-driven products.
