Role Summary
The Senior Manager or Director of Games Partnerships is responsible for managing OneTeam’s slate of licensed games across all interactive and digital platforms. This individual must bring a sharp analytical mindset, a strong commercial acumen, an eye for detail, and a curiosity-driven approach to solving problems. Experience in game development, production, product management, or licensing partner management, is highly valued. The Senior Manager will serve as a key liaison between our development partners and Players Association (PA) partners, including the NFLPA, MLBPA, MLSPA, USWNTPA, WNBPA, USRPA, NWSLPA, and LCSPA, ensuring quality, innovation, and strategic alignment throughout the product lifecycle. Ideal candidates are self-starters who are passionate about sports (particularly football) and excited to work across disciplines to shape innovative experiences for fans and athletes.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
(Responsibilities listed below reflect a mix of Senior Manager and Director-level expectations. Scope will be finalized based on experience and final role level.)
  • Own day-to-day relationships with developers and PAs from kickoff through live service, including communication, reporting, and regular check-ins to ensure alignment and transparency.
  • Develop strong cross-functional relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners, balancing creative vision with business objectives.
  • Lead cross-functional annual or biannual review processes with developers, PAs, and internal stakeholders to assess performance, align on goals, and define next steps for the upcoming year.
  • Collaborate closely with internal Finance to assist with forecasting and portfolio planning; maintain deep familiarity with deal terms and game performance across assigned projects.
  • Partner with the Business Development team on renewal planning by offering strategic recommendations on timing, terms, and approach to ensure strong licensing renewals.
  • Assist in oversight of the production schedule, creative and product development for OneTeam’s slate of licensed video games both in development and in live operation.
  • Review, provide regular feedback to approve submissions and builds for our developer partners.
  • Contribute product feedback and ideas that elevate quality, player engagement, and monetization, leveraging your knowledge of design, production, live ops, and community management.
  • Use both quantitative and qualitative data to evaluate game performance, player engagement, and monetization; synthesize insights to inform strategy and improve future outcomes.
  • Stay curious and informed about shifts in consumer behavior, competitor strategies, and platform innovations; proactively share relevant findings with internal teams.
  • Drive upsell opportunities by identifying where existing partners could benefit from additional licenses from across OneTeam’s portfolio of Players Associations.
  • Partner with OneTeam’s Sponsorship and Athlete Marketing team to identify tentpole moments and maximize co-marketing efforts.
  • Identify areas of innovation and growth for OneTeam and its partners, communicate industry insights and trends back to the organization and stakeholders.

Key Skills, Experience and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 6+ years of experience in video game production, product management, or licensing partner management, with at least two shipped titles. (8+ years preferred for Director-level candidates.)
  • Practical understanding of all phases of development: concept, pre-production, production, and live service, with the ability to communicate creative ideas and product improvements clearly to partners.
  • Highly organized, detail oriented, and poised. 
  • Proven ability to use data to inform decisions, measure success, and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Innately curious and thrives in ambiguity - continuously asking questions, uncovering insights, and finding creative ways to solve challenges.
  • Ability to think quickly, troubleshoot in real time, and communicate clearly and confidently with senior-level stakeholders.
  • Personable, self-motivated collaborator who builds trust, fosters alignment, and leads cross-functional conversations with confidence.
  • Proven ability to manage, mentor, and grow junior team members into confident, capable contributors and future leaders.
  • Ambitious and growth-oriented, with a strong grasp of emerging technologies, platforms, and evolving player behaviors.
  • Passionate about video games, sports, advocating for athletes, and knowledgeable about OneTeam’s mission.
  • Experience working with external developers or publishers on licensed IP is a plus.
  • Deep familiarity with the NFL and sports culture is a plus.

Compensation
The anticipated salary range for this role is $115,000 – $150,000 + bonus opportunity. We are open to hiring this position at either the Senior Manager or Director level. Final title, level, and salary will be commensurate with the candidate’s experience and qualifications.

The above compensation reflects the anticipated salary range for this position based on Los Angeles, CA and current national data. Title and actual pay may be adjusted based on an individual's skills, experience, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
