Job Summary
The Tournament Sales Director is responsible for the strategic oversight, selling, planning, and coordination of all aspects of outing sales at the club. This role focuses on driving revenue through member, corporate, and event outings, tournaments, and other outing-related events. The Tournament Sales Director collaborates closely with club leadership and the regional team to deliver exceptional member and guest experiences while achieving the club’s annual outing sales goals. This role involves developing and executing comprehensive sales strategies, cultivating key client relationships, and working closely with the General Manager and Executive Chef to create competitive outing offerings. The Director is accountable for the overall financial performance of the outing department, ensuring that all activities align with the club’s business objectives and service standards.

Key Responsibilities
• Execute sales plans to maximize outing revenue, in alignment with club goals and sales standards set by the regional sales team.
• Lead the outing sales team in achieving sales targets, fostering a high-performance sales culture.
• Analyze market trends and competitor offerings to refine sales strategies and maintain a competitive edge.
• Cultivate relationships with key clients and prospects, leveraging networking opportunities inside and outside the club to generate new business.
• Oversee the client consultation process, providing expert advice on outing options and creating tailored solutions that meet client needs and club profitability goals.
• Regularly obtain client feedback and implement improvements to enhance service delivery and client satisfaction.
• Provide guidance to the outing sales team, facilitating professional growth and maintaining high standards of performance.
• Ensure all outing-related activities and expenses are accurately tracked and recorded, adhering to financial and operational standards.
• Collaborate with the Executive Chef and General Manager to design profitable and competitive outing offerings, balancing client satisfaction with operational efficiency.
• Utilize sales management tools and software, such as Cater Pro and Power BI, to track sales performance and manage outing event data
Additional Duties
• Due to the dynamic nature of the club, employees are expected to assist others as needed and take on additional tasks as assigned by management.
• Follow all company, club, and department policies, procedures, and instructions.
• Maintain a high level of professionalism and a commitment to excellence in interactions with members, colleagues, and staff.
• Follow safe working practices, ensuring compliance with safety guidelines and encouraging others to do the same.
• Take the initiative in personal and professional growth and maintain any required certifications relevant to your role.
• Address and resolve challenges using available resources, working with regional and corporate teams to support club operations.
•Attend daily briefings and actively engage in required activities to stay informed and contribute to the team’s success.
Qualifications Required
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in a commissioned sales role within the hospitality or outings industry, with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
Preferred
• College coursework in hospitality, marketing, or a related field.
• Experience establishing marketing and prospecting programs to drive outing revenues.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and event management software.
• Strong mentorship skills with the ability to motivate and manage a sales team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients and staff.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
Physical Requirements
• Must be able to stand, walk, and perform physical activities for extended periods.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures and environments, with potential exposure to dust, fumes, or gases.
• Capable of climbing ladders, squatting, kneeling, reaching, grasping, twisting, bending, and folding/unfolding as required.
• Able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 25 lbs. occasionally.
• Effective communication skills, including talking and hearing, with sufficient visual acuity.
