The New York Jets are seeking a skilled frontend web developer with expertise in React or similar frontend frameworks, as well as HTML/CSS design. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, ability to improve UX flows, a passion for creating web applications that, above all, meet the unique needs of our users.
This role will collaborate with other members of the development team to support a variety of legacy projects but work mainly to create new projects with an eye on performance, component architecture and utilizing testing frameworks. The ability to clearly communicate and understand end goals will be paramount to producing successful experiences.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain responsive web applications using React or similar frameworks.
- Implement and optimize CSS designs based off wireframes or written descriptions.
- Collaborate with backend developers to integrate frontend components with backend systems written in C# and SQL.
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code managed in Azure DevOps (git).
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
- Troubleshoot and debug issues to ensure optimal performance.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or experience and knowledge of software development in a related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in UI/UX development.
- Proven experience or portfolio using frontend web development toolsets, especially examples dealing with large sets of data.
- Strong knowledge of HTML/CSS design principles.
- A desire to work on-site at the Jets training facility in Florham Park NJ, with a tight-knit team that can adapt to quickly changing requirements from stakeholders.
- Able prioritize and deliver these requirements under tight deadlines.
- Experience and comfort developing with a team using git.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Some Knowledge of full-stack development (SQL, Python/C#/etc.) to understand what is happening behind the UI.
- Experience with responsive and mobile-first design.
Salary range for this role: USD $65,000 to $80,000 per year and discretionary annual company bonus, dependent on the specific qualifications of the successful candidate.
